State of emergency canceled in Brantford

On Monday the city of Brantford lifted the state of emergency that was declared Wednesday due to floods.

The Grand River Conservation Authority also canceled all flood warnings and watches.

The level of the river remained stable over the weekend at just under 2.5 meters.

All bridges are reopened.

Some road segments remain closed (Dufferin, Gilkison, Birkett).

Occasional closures will also be required to clean up, particularly on Grand River Avenue.

Footpaths and pedestrian bridges remain closed.
