Recall of fasteners for pacifiers and teething toys

r. Brown’s Lovely Brand Pacifier and Teething Baby Pacers are being recalled due to a possible choking hazard.

The four models featured in the recall consist of a stuffed toy holding the lollipop with a ribbon and snap button.

“The ribbons holding the lollipop may fray or loosen over time. In this case, the snaps may come off the tape, posing a choking hazard. The pacifiers offered with the product are not included in this recall, “Health Canada said.

It is:

Giraffe, model number AC047, UPC 0-72239-30473-0;
Zebra, model AC048, UPC 0-72239-30474-7;
Turtle, model AC049, UPC 0-72239-30475-4;
Deer, model AC097, UPC 0-72239-30909-4.
The subject products have the following lot codes: ICH0317, RICH0417, RICH0516, RICH0517, RICH0615, RICH0616, RICH0617, RICH0715, RICH0716, RICH0717,
RICH0815, RICH0817, RICH0916, RICH0917, RICH1016, RICH1116, RICH1215, RICH1216.

They were sold in Canada from August 2015 to March 2018. Approximately 10,500 and 590,000 recalled products were sold in Canada and the United States respectively.

As of February 21, 2018, two incidents have been reported to the company regarding the use of this product in Canada. No injuries were reported. In the United States, 67 incidents involving no injuries were also reported.
