The next week could be difficult for many parents in the Outaouais, while negotiations continue between the educators in the Early Childhood Center (CPE) and the employer party.
In CPE in the region, educators wear, Thursday, a jersey announcing that a strike would be held on March 19, 20, 21 and 22. The union of the Federation of Health and Social Services (FSSS-CSN) confirms that this measure comes from a slogan of the union.
However, the union refuses to confirm that there will be a walkout, since negotiations are still ongoing Thursday.
According to the union, the main issue in dispute is the “range of working time”, which is the number of hours worked by educators, which varies.
The 400-odd educators in the Outaouais still have a four-day strike mandate.
Two strike days have taken place since the fall, affecting 17 of the 23 CPE in the region, affiliated to the CSN.
The educators have been without a contract since March 31, 2015.
